5.15 p.m. Networking reception

Sessions

Agri & Food
Turkey has a large and growing food and agriculture industry. They have set ambitious targets for the agricultural sector. By 2023 Turkey aims to be among the top five producers globally. In order to achieve this goal innovation is necessary, which provides ample opportunities for the Dutch agrofood sector. The Netherlands, thanks to its innovative agrofood technology, is one of the world's largest exporters of agricultural and food products and can assist Turkey in achieving its goals. In this session the speakers will focus on the opportunities for both Dutch & Turkish companies.

Design Management
Turkey plans, designs, and works for increasing exports from $162 (2012) to $500 billion in 2023. Design is to be considered to transform Turkish SME’s from suppliers to OEM's. Therefore good design management is key in developing Turkish design leadership. In this session renowned experts will high light the opportunities for strategists and (design) managers.

Life Science & Health
In innovation, circulation and implementation of knowledge is key, especially for SMEs. TTO’s at university level are reaching out to disseminate and implement knowledge to relevant parties. What opportunities does the Turkish market provide for innovative partners from The Netherlands? Among the many promising sectors, life sciences and health is an interesting domain in Turkey. Turkey has indicated the pharma sector as an innovation spearhead and tries to stimulate this sector through tax incentives and other favorable investment conditions In a hands on break out, experts from TNO, TÜBITAK and companies will share their experience and vision with the participants in an interactive setting. Introductions by Jan Michiel Meeuwsen (TNO), a representative from TÜBITAK and Dutch companies with ample experience in exploring the Turkish market.

Dutch Sports Infrastructure
With no new stadium being opened between 1980s and 2002, Turkey had a lot of catching up to do in terms of sports infrastructure. TOKI, the governmental agency for housing and the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports are developing stadiums all over the country. Turkey has a total of 150 stadiums, last year 11 stadiums were tendered and about 30 stadiums are currently under construction or being renovated. Also the ministry is investing in small-scale sports facilities at schools. During the Holland Turkish Business forum Dutch Sports Infrastructure organizes a breakout session to exchange information and discuss opportunities for suppliers of stadiums and sports facilities.

For questions relating to the Holland Turkey Business Forum, please contact:

ING
Peter Verheij
Tel.: +31 20 576 89 04
Email: peter.verheij@ing.nl
